Many of ya'll know I made my mixtape warmfuzzy back in the early aughts in Hawaii, so I got to go to this spot when it was still called #jellys. I've bought many a record here in both places. Last time I was there copped this tenor saw ring the alarm amongst other things. Unfortunately, ideas has announced that they're closing... And I'm bummed that I won't be able to go again before they do. I'm hoping that they do find a way to ressurect like a Phoenix from the ashes. Thank u for the memories and the wax @ideas_musicandbooks. If you are on the island, make sure to visit before they're gone. The a Hu Hou (last day) celebration will be Sept 21st. I was in NYC less then 12 hours before @djhuggybea I was in NYC less then 12 hours before @djhuggybear twisted my arm to go digging in #brooklyn. (he really didn't have to try that hard just FYI). No gate keeping this spot over here - big shout out to @360recordshop - a dope community /music venue that has a whole lot of vinyl. Shout out to Bene for taking care of us. I got a bunch of #reggae and original samples I was looking for, all in pristine condition, for a very very VERY nice price. OH and afterwards we were able to get the burger from @redhooktavernbk by just walking in. Someone had canceled their reservation just as we pulled up. The universe was working in our favor that day. Also shout out to @iam_setfree, we gotta do something soon.
